The Tall Bike Posse presents:

“BIKExperience – a circuitous journey back to your bike” is a bike art show that runs during San Luis Obispo’s countywide Wheel Experience Bike Month celebration in May. We will showcase bicycle inspired art of all media.

A portion of the art sales and event donations will go to the San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition; a non-profit agency promoting cycling for everyday transportation and recreation.

Meet the artists and experience the visual journey This Friday May 2, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at 1060 Osos St. during Art After Dark.

Regular gallery hours will be Thursday nights during Farmer’s market, Fridays at lunchtime, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. Look for more times posted at the gallery.

There will be a Bike Art Build on Saturday April 12th at Central Coast Brewery 1422 Monterey Street, San Luis Obispo

Experience poetry in motion from noon until we “Get’er done”. The Tall Bike Posse will have bins of bikes to cut hack and reinvent what “Art” is. Bring Beer money because we’ll be drinking some of the Central Coast’s finest. Even if you don’t build, come on over and socialize, oogle at the creations, take a demo ride, head on over to Cambria Bike Outfitters to compare and contrast, sip on cappuccino at the Outspoken Beverage Bistro like the wanker you are.

The Tall Bike Posse will use this time to make art for the upcoming Bike art shows in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero - yes that’s two art galleries during the month of May. If you wish to know more about the show or want to build, show up and let’s shoot the bull.

BIKExperience” - a circuitous journey back to your bike
This is a celebration of art and bicycles, the gallery will be free to the public and there is no competition among the artists. We only ask that you create art with a bicycle in mind. If you cruise our gallery from last year, you’ll see the variety of art displayed. We had a few showcase pieces that really anchored the rest of the gallery.  The Gallery wil be open through the month of May during National Bike Month.
We are aiming to have all the art in our hands, ready to hang by April 26th or sooner. We ask that it be “ready to hang” meaning that all the hardware is attached, a name, contact, and your price on the back. We will add 25% to your price as a tax-deductible donation to the SLO County Bicycle Coalition.
